Behavior

Features
Spindle-shaped body with highly variable coloration; back and flanks usually brown to yellow-brown with red and black spots. Agile and a popular angling fish.
Distribution
Widespread in European rivers and lakes. In Germany found mainly in clear upper reaches and mountain streams across all states.
