Native to brackish zones in the northern and western Black Sea, as well as rivers such as the Danube and Dniester.
Features
A large-bodied goby species.
Distribution
Native to the Danube delta, Black Sea, and Caspian Sea. Has now successfully colonized the Rhine and Elbe. In the Rhine it competes with the round goby.
