A bottom-dwelling freshwater fish.
Features
Native to the Atlantic coasts of Britain, France, and Belgium. In Germany mainly found in the Moselle and Sieg. Considered invasive in the Rhine system, recorded as far as Karlsruhe. Notably, the invasive Rhine population is a hybrid of C. perifretum and C. rhenanus.
